Solid subs comparable to Quiznos. But you can't get a pint at Quiznos !

Quality sandwich at a reasonable price. Atmosphere is questionable. The whole "ah man its 420 , I got the munchies and I need a pinner or nug from cheba hut" scene is really not that cool.

Don't complain about customer service. The place is called Cheba Hut. How can you complain about stoners trying to do a job? At least they are working stoned. That is a feat all in itself. And you negative reviewers probably blew their high and were a huge buzz kill so think about that. You should have just got on their level, smoked something, then ordered some food! The food was good. A small sub was called a pinner and I think the big foot longs were called blunts or something. I thought this place was pretty sweet. For all the non-stoners: Go to Subway and enjoy the sterile triviality of your existence.

Smells like pachouli, hemp and hippy B.O. Jerry Garcia would be proud. Luckily the food is good and the staff is friendly. The pot theme is a little tired, though.

  • AJ B.

I thought it was a marijuana dispensary at first. I get it, everything is based off of smoking pot... haha, very clever. The food is good enough, but the whole hook made me feel like an idiot.

Cheeba Cheeba! My sandwich was fire, and the people there were real heady. Definitely score a splash of their house sauce on your sandwich as well.

  • S T.

If you still giggle at pot references, use the word 420 as a verb, and like eating subway type sandwiches with the option of beer, then this is for you.

$1 PINTS of Odell's and NB on Friday nights starting at 6pm I believe. Don't have anything to say about the food, cause we only went for the beers, but the patio is right on the street (laurel i think) and the atmosphere was cool. Even though they are majorly pushing the stoner vibe ("friends don't let friends eat schwag"), I saw a little league group come in with tons of kids, and the parents weren't pot head types from what I could see. Looked like the sandwiches were amazing, and there was a constant flow of people for the two hours we were there.

Awesome sandwiches, and the atmosphere is great for a sub shop. Friendly people wait on you and don't make you feel dumb for not being in the 4/20 know.

The same price Subway can be but better quality! Fresher ingredeints and open 'til later, I'd totally recommend this place if you're extremely hungry.

Love this place!!! my favorite is the White Widow with extra Ranch. Their house made Ranch is the best I've had. And they have kool-aid

  • Elinor C.

Good sandwiches! Before I became a vegetarian, my favorite was Thai chicken. Veggie sandwich is also goooood!

    (5)
  • Liz V.

Awesome toasted subs!! I now drive past Cheyenne WY to stop in Ft. Collins for these amazing subs. The theme is amusing even for the non MJ smoking crowd. Wish they had their own parking lot since parallel parking is not my forte, but these subs are worth hitting the curb a couple times.

  • Antony P.

These guys don't have any idea how to make a sub. I recently ordered two subs from these guys and they messed up both!!! I put my order in at 8:00, not late at all. I got two AK-47s and asked for no mushrooms on one with cheddar cheese, and no mushrooms or onion on the other. Not only did they both come with onion, the cheddar cheese was on the wrong sub and the other sub came with PICKLES AND TOMATO!! Where the hell did that come from?!? Those subs don't even come with those nor did I order that. Sorry guys but these were two of the worst subs I've had and probably won't ever be ordering from you again.

One of my favorite sandwiches in Fort Collins. I get delivery quite often from the Laurel location and they have never steered me wrong, except tonight, so I thought I would share. I ordered through Order Up at 4 pm, and 5:30 came around and no food. I called Cheba Hut and the person on the phone was very apologetic and said that they had a lot of problems with orders through Order Up. He promised my order (a french dip, chips, a drink and a cereal bar) in 20 to 30 minutes along with extras for the mess up. My order arrived at 6 and the delivery boy was apologetic and nice, and I opened up my bag after he left and there were indeed tons of extra goodies inside. However, they forgot the au jus for my french dip!! I was very very disappointed. They had never done this before, and I understand that they were in a hurry to get my order to me, but a french dip without au jus is just a roast beef sandwich... I didn't call the location again, I was too hungry to wait for them to correct my order again. Cheba Hut is delicious and hasn't steered me wrong before tonight, so I will give them a second chance after this.

I love this place, even if it isn't my favorite sandwich shop in FoCo... The staff is always super friendly, and the sandwiches are great and fresh! Plus I love the marijuana theme, as I find it super humorous, even if I don't smoke. This one I believe is the original location, and is the best since it has a bar in it as well! Though I do really like the one on Elizabeth cause the owner is super rad and would always remember who I was whenever I came in. So here are some tips, so there is a sandwich called a white widow, which is good, but I prefer, the "red widow," which isn't on the menu, but tell them and they will know! It is a bit spicier then the white widow since they use their spicy red chicken. Also if you get someone who has been in their for a long time, ask for a gonzo. Not many who still remember this sandwich, but it is great! It has turkey, pepper jack, guacamole, bacon, and cream cheese, and then whatever other toppings you want! YUUMMM!!! It's my favorite specialty sandwich they ever made! Also, this place has Kool-ade as a drink, which is pretty cool. Plus their munchies bowl is usually pretty rad with different rice crispy treat concoctions! So this place is a must try, again, even if it isn't the best sandwich place in town, it is pretty close. Definitely WAY better than the $5 footlong place...

I don't smoke pot (for personal psychological reasons only), but that's quite okay since they're a sandwich shop and not a dispensary. Whether your munchies are cannabis-induced or not, Cheba Hut has the solution. I know that wheat is the healthier option, but it simply can't compete with the garlic bread when I'm hungry. Do you want fresh jalapeños or pickled? Yes! Do you want parmesan and oregano? Yes! House dressing (their own vinaigrette)? Yes! Actually, you should be careful with the house dressing if you already have a lot of acidic things, like mustard, pickles, and pickled jalapeños, on your sandwich. You can also opt for a non-toasted sub, but I wouldn't recommend it. I go for their "secret stash" sandwiches every time. With three kinds of meat (one of them is BACON), chipotle mayo, jalapeños, pepper jack cheese, fresh lettuce and tomatoes, parm and oregano, and a dash of house dressing all on toasted garlic bread, the Northern Lights simply f*ckin' satisfies. There's no other way to put it. I'm also a big fan of salami (and bacon), so the 5-0 is another favorite. My wife is a fan of the White Widow, a chicken ranch sub. Cheba Hut has one thing that none of my other favorite cheap sandwich dives have: a beer bar with local taps. Ver' nice.

Great food but don't do delivery. They most likely will forget your address and some of your food.

    (4)
  • Natalie G.

I eat here on a regular basis. The food is always good. Some things could be improved like the service at the bar. I would still recommend this place to my friends. Oh yea, why don't you deliver to Mulberry and Summit View?

    (4)
  • Gordon W.

Good food but the staff is too stoned to pass just about any health inspection. I've seen the staff change ceiling tiles above counters with food on them; I've seen staff pick their noses or touch their faces and then go right back to making food. I've given them several chances but I think I am finally done. If you like food made by the dirtiest of hippies without and any concern for cleanliness, or accuracy (they'll probably screw up your order after taking twenty minutes to make it!) this is the place for you.

  • Kellen B.

Was visiting my brother at CSU and he suggested this place. Ate the La Canna Italian sandwich. Bread was nice and crispy, meats had good flavor and it had just the right amount of dressing. Overall a great sandwich. And they have a little Tiki bar inside so you can get some drinks if needed. Will definitely be back.

Cheba Hut is usually my go to sandwich shop in Fort Collins. I love the Cali Mist and White Widow. The only thing that has bothered me is that I sometimes ask for avocado added, and they have forgotten quite a few times but I don't notice until I get home. I definitely recommend this shop to everyone who comes and visits me! Soooooo fresh and yummy. Love the CO theme also ;)

    (5)
  • Maverick R.

Still the best sandwich shop around but the recent chip switch was not a good one. Bring back boulder chips and cool ranch doritos etc. Kettle chips are lacking.

I have visited the Cheba Hut for many years now. Maybe about once every 18 months to 2 years. With such infrequent visits, it would make it very easy to tell if quality or conditions were slipping. Oddly it seems to get incrementally better all the time. They have a recipe for success, and that recipe is making absolutely awesome sandwiches with plenty of the best ingredients. My personal recommendation is the toasted "Five-O" which includes Ham, salami, prosciutto, bacon, pepperoni & cheddar cheese. Order it on garlic "herb" bread, add extra bacon, guacamole, and some spicy mustard. It makes my mouth water just thinking about it.

    (5)

The sandwiches here are super yummy! I've had many of their sandwiches and can honestly say I love them all. The have the best hummus- creamy with just the right amount of heat. So why not 5 stars? The wait can be ridiculous. Even on a less than busy afternoon it can take as long as 15 minutes of waiting to finally be called to the counter to top your sandwich. Many folks find the atmosphere of this place a turn off. Not me- I'm always entertained by the psychedelic artwork, swaying tunes and fun folks who frequent the hut.

Tonight we had a disappointing encounter with Fort Collin's Cheba Hut. I've had it a million times at the boulder branch so i know exactly what i wanted when i ordered delivery. The White widow, absolutely the best the chain has to offer. We got two tonight and man, they where disappointing. Everything was fine with the sandwich except there wasn't any ranch sauce on it or none i could find. The white widows I've had in the past at the boulder branch where slathered in the dankest ranch sauce ever. I'd say it really 'makes' the sandwich. However without it its just... a dry, sad, warm, sandwich. The reason they still get two stars though is because the dude that delivered the sandwiches seemed like a friendly guy, and the girl that took my order also seemed cool too. All encounters i had with the staff where pleasant, so no real problem here with the staff or service what so ever. I wonder if they just ran out of ranch sauce for the sandwiches and just... did it up anyways. Who knows. I guess as a discerning, sober, late night food delivery aficionado, I'm just a little disappointed. I'm not saying I'm not gonna order from here again, I'm just planning on getting a little ranch on the side so I'm sure to get some, i'll just DIY it and throw it on the sandwich my self. It could of just be a busy night or maybe they just ran out of the 1 component i wanted the most, eather way with somewhat high sandwich the prices here, having a disapointing sandwich goes from being disappointing to a bummer, especially when you order two of the same sandwiches. So long story short, Nice Staff, Disappointing Sammy. I'll likely try again because i know the chain is capable of more.

My wife and I came here on a stopover on our way to New Belgium. Her sandwich, the Kind was pretty good, save the anemic-looking tomatoes. Mine, the Endo (reuben) was so smothered in thousand island dressing that i almost gagged after the first bite. I ended up scraping about 1/4 cup more off in an attempt to salvage it. No such luck...gross.

Great sandwiches! Way better than Avo's as far as I'm concerned. I totally recommend this place to anyone and everyone. Oh and my husband had their lucky charms rice crispie treat and said it was amazing.

  • Kristin M.

My husband had been there for lunch with co-workers during the previous week and thought his sandwich was pretty good so he suggested we go there together. I'm up for anything and always love a new eating experience, so I was game. Plus, he said that while they were chowing down they were listening to Phish and Bob Marley. I can handle that! My husband got the 8 inch BBQ roast beef: roast beef, bell peppers, mushrooms, cheese and barbecue sauce ($6.99), or in Cheba Hut terms, a "Chronic Pinner" (I'll wait for the giggles to stop...) I got the 8 inch veggie: provolone, guacamole, sprouts, lettuce, olives, onions, mushrooms, tomatoes and hemp cream cheese on their garlic bread, also known as the "Griefio Pinner" (it's just as ridiculous typing it as it is saying it). The staff were very friendly while taking our order and the place provided for some prime people-watching. We had a great time eating some respectable food and listening to good music. How can you not laugh when listening to "Sister Christian" by Night Ranger while noticing some of the customers standing, blankly staring at the menu board for pretty much the entire time we ate? If you're doing your thing around Old Town and want a decent sandwich with an entertaining atmosphere and you can stomach a Cheech and Chong movie, I'd go ahead and suggest stopping by. Just don't bring the kids along.

On this 4/20, I would be remiss not to review the weed-themed wildly popular sandwich chain we all know and love as Cheba Hut. It's a pretty good sandwich place, especially for the toasted subs, something it seems to monopolize more with the closing of nearby Which Wich (though Snarf's opened to give it a run). The weed theme is entertaining and the beer is cheap on Friday nights. Definitely one of my favorite sandwich places in the Fort.

    (5)
  • Alden C.

Clever little place that has names after certain recreational drugs or how they are prepared. It is safe to say the sandwiches are good so go ahead and give it a try. They wont make you high...which could be a good thing or a bad thing depending what you are looking for.

    (4)
  • Joey S.

God-awful! Do not go to Cheba Hut! First of all, their supposedly cool, hipster pot-themed restaurants are just as commercialized as Subway or Jimmy John's with a much inferior product. The sandwiches are mediocre at best and the prices are nothing to rave about. If you find yourself on Laurel in the mood for a sandwich, do yourself a favor and go a block west to Pickle Barrel and skip Cheba Hut. Pickle Barrel is far superior in every way.

    (1)
  • Ciara H.

Mmm, the tuna sandwich is very good. If I am in the mood for subs Cheba Hut is definitely my choice. It seems as though the theme of this restaurant turns many off, but I suggest looking past it and giving it a try. Their subs are absolutely better, and fresher than subway, jimmy johns etc. I don't know how anyone could think otherwise.

Great sandwiches! Way better than Avo's as far as I'm concerned. I totally recommend this place to anyone and everyone. Oh and my husband had their lucky charms rice crispie treat and said it was amazing.

Clever little place that has names after certain recreational drugs or how they are prepared. It is safe to say the sandwiches are good so go ahead and give it a try. They wont make you high...which could be a good thing or a bad thing depending what you are looking for.

Quality sandwich at a reasonable price. Atmosphere is questionable. The whole "ah man its 420 , I got the munchies and I need a pinner or nug from cheba hut" scene is really not that cool.

Love this place!!! my favorite is the White Widow with extra Ranch. Their house made Ranch is the best I've had. And they have kool-aid
